Maker’s Edition – Damax Utility

The June ’24 Maker’s Edition composes of twelve uniquely numbered 200mm bladed Utility knives. For the blades we used Damax by Alleima for the first time and loved it. This is the next generation of Damascus knife steel. It features the same quality as handcrafted steel and is produced with an innovative industrialised technique with up to 135 layers of martensitic Stainless Steel. The handles compliment the steel structure with wood and leather discs, framed with Black paper Micarta bolsters and pommels, thus creating an ultralight and agile knife, good for almost any short or small prep kitchen work and especially for service. To protect these special steels we have matched each knife with our own sturdy Micarta blade guard, lined with red velvet and a rubber band and engraved coin locking mechanism.
